Kanshi Ram Ji
‘Kanshi Ram’ was born on 15th March 1934 at Khawaspur village in the Ropar district of Punjab, India. He was born to Bishan Kaur and Hari Singh, of Sikh background. He completed his Bachelor’s degree in Science (B.Sc) from the Government College at Ropar affiliated with The Punjab University.
Kanshi Ram was an Indian politician. He was the founder of a political party in India, the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP). He represented the 11th Lok Sabha from Hoshiarpur Constituency.
He was also elected as a member of the Lok Sabha from Etawah in Uttar Pradesh. As an author Kanshiram wrote two books: An Era of the Stooges (Chamcha Age) and New Hope.
On October 9, 2006, Kanshi Ram died of a severe heart attack in New Delhi.
